I, Guangwu, Just Want to Keep My Head Down and Invent Things

My name is Liu Xiu. Everyone calls me a farmer, but I'm actually a bona fide inventor.

During the skirmish at Xiaochang'an, my fellow fighters from Chunling were trapped in a desperate situation. In the heat of the moment, armed with only a handful of guns, I routed Zhen Fu's army and sent them fleeing like stray dogs. From then on, I became famous after a single battle!

At the Battle of Kunyang, facing a ferocious army said to number a million, I didn't even bat an eye. Calmly, I directed a thousand Zhuge repeating-crossbow soldiers and showed the enemy what it meant to be pierced through the heart by an arrow. After that battle, corpses were piled high beneath the city walls.

At the Battle of Wancheng, our prolonged siege made no progress, and I watched my young men grow old. In a flash of inspiration, I decided to dig tunnels, build siege ladders, and make twenty cannons. With a boom, I was stunned: the city walls had collapsed, and Wancheng was ours!

That's right, I'm the man they call Xiuer, better known as the Son of the Plane!
