Siheyuan: A 100-Year-Old's Heartfelt Letter Sends Qin Huairu into a Panic

A mysterious letter appears in a Beijing courtyard house.

The contents of the envelope are shocking.

"Let's make this secret love public, Mrs. Married Woman.

I hope you'll bravely come forward tonight and not fear the gossip.

Otherwise, with so little time left to me, even I don't know what I might do."

A love letter from a centenarian man to a married woman leaves everyone in the courtyard stunned.

With time running short, the three elders try to keep this old baby calm.

At a courtyard assembly, they announce that they won't actively search for the married woman in question.

They hope she'll resolve the matter on her own by evening, so the courtyard's reputation won't be damaged.

To keep her secret from being exposed, Qin Huairu can only sneak off to meet him.

But just as Qin Huairu is about to give herself to love, someone discovers that the letter didn't actually come from the centenarian.

Someone else wrote it.

As the truth gradually comes to light, Qin Huairu panics.

Then, because of this incident, one letter after another arrives at the Red Star Courtyard.

The whole courtyard is thrown into chaos.
