I Can’t Embezzle Enough for Emperor Qianlong’s Spending: Being He Shen Is Tough

He transmigrates to the Great Qing dynasty and becomes Heshen.

Just then, Wang Danwang, the Gansu defense commissioner, is caught taking bribes and embezzling funds.

Heshen seizes the opportunity to rise in rank, confiscating the enormous sum of nine million taels of silver from Wang Danwang.

The Qianlong Emperor flies into a rage and wipes out Wang's entire clan.

With the sign-in System backing him,

Heshen becomes the emperor's trusted favorite.

"Your Majesty, I think the Summer Palace is too run-down and doesn't suit your stature. It ought to be renovated."

"Your Majesty, I believe it's been many years since you toured the south. Your imperial prestige has waned. You should make a progress through Jiangnan."

"Your Majesty, to display your heavenly might, you should go hunting at the palace in the northern desert."

Heshen urges Qianlong to spend beyond his means while lining his own pockets at every turn.

To escape the fate of being executed after Qianlong's death, he builds up an overseas power base and crowns himself king abroad.
