The Buddha's Journey to Immortality

Synopsis

Disasters keep striking the mortal realm. Investigations reveal that demons are behind them, so the Jade Emperor sends all the great gods of Heaven, along with their celestial soldiers and generals, down to capture them. But they cannot even find a trace of the demons. With no other choice, the Jade Emperor summons Buddha. Buddha likewise sends Sun Wukong to search the mortal realm, but he too finds nothing. Buddha has no choice but to suggest that the Jade Emperor strengthen the mortal realm's ability to defend itself. The Jade Emperor naturally accepts the proposal and entrusts the task to Buddha. And so Buddha begins implementing his plan to cultivate immortals.
