"I refuse! I refuse! I won't do it!" the girl cried out, but her voice was quickly drowned out by the seductive whisper from this barren land.
"The contract is hereby signed."
An ancient, solemn voice spoke from within an old book. Strings of red characters no one could read floated out from between its pages, finally forming a huge crimson contract in midair.
"No, I won't!" The girl screamed with all her might, but it was useless. Her body drifted helplessly toward the bottom-right corner of the contract, while Chen Ming was already waiting in the bottom-left corner.
But Chen Ming still couldn't see her. All he could make out was the indistinct shape of a girl, traced in red runes.
"You don't get a choice." Chen Ming grinned wickedly. "Sign the contract!"
