Our generation was born into a pivotal period of change. So many things have disappeared and reappeared: from the abolition of grain ration coupons to the end of state-funded medical care and welfare housing. Many things that were once fixed and stable have changed, directly and indirectly shaping every aspect of our growth, including our psychology and the way we live. I don't have the energy for grand narratives. All I can do is use my pen to sketch the inner lives of a small part of this generation, and reflect how they experience and adapt to a society changing by the day.
