A Scheme of Longing

Three years ago, the entire Pingnan Marquis household was executed. The old marquis died a miserable death in prison, while the young marquis escaped and vanished without a trace.

After ascending the throne, the Third Prince wanted to find the young marquis.

The young marquis hid deep in the mountains and became the disciple of the White Sect's mountain hermit.

There, he took it easy and became the little lord of the mountain.

When rebels rose once more, the Third Prince was trapped in a mire and could not escape.

The young marquis brought out his life-and-death token and saved the Third Prince from peril once again.

When the young marquis turned to go back to his life as the little lord of the mountain,

he discovered he was already caught in a cage, unable to break free of his chains.
