I Became the Celestial Master Zhong Kui in the Great Tang

Zhong Zhengnan is a modern young man who accidentally transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty. Through his own hard work, he becomes a scholar and plans to live out his days in peace.

Unfortunately, he looks absolutely terrifying.

A leopard's head, bulging eyes, an iron mask of a face, and a tangled beard. How could anyone call him handsome?

Even his friends sigh and say that he has plenty of inner talent, but not much to offer in the looks department.

That year, Emperor Dezong ascends the throne.

His friend urges him to take the annual imperial examination and earn himself a good title. Zhong Zhengnan thinks it over and agrees. He's a transmigrator, after all. Getting a good title should be a piece of cake.

How could he let down the many transmigrators who came before him?

But when he arrives in Chang'an, the unexpected happens.

"Ding! System awakened!"

"Choose one of two options: First, crash into the Golden Throne Hall and die. Second, seize a sword and kill yourself."
