The Turbulent Age of Dao and Martial Arts

In ancient times, Fuxi, the Human Emperor, observed a divine tortoise and created the Primordial Eight Trigrams. Using their principles, he devised a way to create humans: Qian for the soul, Kun for the skin, Gen for the bones, Kan for bodily fluids, Li for blood and organs, Dui for hair and meridians, and Zhen and Xun for breath. He passed this method on to his wife, Nuwa, and together they carried out their plan to create humanity... But after they succeeded, the vast wilderness remained full of venomous snakes and ferocious beasts, leaving humans especially vulnerable. Unable to protect his children at all times, Fuxi studied the Primordial Dao arts and developed a form of qi suited to humanity in its later state. This was the earliest origin of martial arts... Thousands of years later, humanity had long forgotten this history. The struggle between the Dao and martial arts had reached the point where they could no longer coexist, giving rise to one tragedy after another...
