The Divine Kingdom Game: Starting by Inheriting the Reaper's Mantle

After centuries of effort, humanity launches the Metaverse game, Divine Kingdom.

Jiang Chen clashes with the System over the name he likes, "God of Death," and unexpectedly inherits a godhood.

Ding! Congratulations, player! You have defeated the God of Death and successfully inherited the godhood of one of the game's Supreme Gods, the God of Death!

This leaves Jiang Chen completely stunned. He can't react for a moment.

"What did you say?"

Player God of Death has obtained a godhood and received the Temple of Death!

Player God of Death has acquired the God of Death's talent: Lord of the Undead!

But after the game has been running for some time, Jiang Chen realizes that it's nothing like the slightly more advanced online game he thought it was!

If it's meant to resolve the country's wars, why take the form of a game?

What kind of world is this, really?
