Tormenting the Heavens, Starting with Record of Ragnarok

Perfected Jade Cauldron finally agreed to stop taking on disciples, and all the immortals in the Heavenly Court breathed a collective sigh of relief. Even the Jade Emperor, who had endured 3,200 tribulations, could finally let his heart settle.

However...

"Why have all the immortals started repairing their estates and maintaining their grotto-heaven arrays lately? What is the meaning of this?"

The newly appointed Curtain-Raising General looked at the Great Heavenly Venerable's curious expression, wanting to speak but holding back, then wanting to hold back but speaking. His face was a sight to behold.

"Your Majesty, I must report... Recently, recently, I heard that the True Lord Who Manifests as a Sage has taken on a new disciple, named Chen Xuanche, courtesy name Qingque."

The Curtain-Raising General seemed to say something else afterward, but the great Jade Emperor, the Supreme Venerable of the Golden Palace of Vast Heaven, the Naturally Wondrous Mysterious Firmament, the Most True Jade Emperor of the Way, didn't hear a word. Only five words remained in his mind.

"Yang Jian has taken a disciple."

The Jade Emperor, who opened Heaven, held the Talisman, governed the calendar, embodied truth, and followed the Way, interlaced his fingers and rested them beneath his chin, his expression grave.
