This Is Crazy! After Ten Years in Seclusion, the Empress Wants to Destroy Buddhism?

In 680 AD, Lu Yixiu transmigrates to the prosperous Tang Dynasty.

He had only wanted to experience the Tang Dynasty in all its glory.

Unexpectedly, he binds to the Hermit System, which makes him stronger as long as he lives in seclusion.

Lu Yixiu decides to settle down in seclusion in Chang'an, and remains there for ten years.

"Ding! After one year in seclusion, your painting has reached transcendence. One painting can trap a million soldiers!"

"Ding! After two years in seclusion, your calligraphy has reached transcendence. A single character can send a million soldiers fleeing!"

"Ding! After three years in seclusion, your musical skill has reached transcendence. One song can make ten thousand people weep!"

"Ding! After four years in seclusion, your medical skill has reached transcendence. You can bring the dead back to life and restore flesh to bare bones!"

Unfortunately, Lu Yixiu's peaceful life is anything but tranquil.

Buddhism is flourishing, and monks can easily apply for land without paying taxes. They keep multiple wives and concubines, and even abduct women by force.

The common people suffer terribly, and even Lu Yixiu is often disturbed.

After all, he only made a few complaints about Buddhism to a young girl surnamed Wu, yet Buddhism has begun to decline and head toward extinction.
