A documentary novel based on the painful growth experience of a small rural girl in northern Anhui Province.
Mr. Sixteen was born on the 16th day of the twelfth lunar month. He experienced being abandoned by his biological parents and given away by his adoptive parents who were disabled and honest but took care of his children. He was discriminated against by his peers because he was a girl, bullied by gangsters in the village, bullied by senior colleagues at work, and had a difficult life, study and work experience of love and hatred with his husband.
