Journey to the West: I Take Bajie’s Place on the Journey, and the Buddha Is Furious

The frustrated Jin Chanzi sets off on the Journey to the West to fetch the scriptures, leading three creatures that aren't even human!

His eldest disciple, Quan Kong, is a monkey, but no longer the same monkey he used to be!

His second disciple, Bajie, is a complete fake! But he's also a complete badass!

His third disciple is a foul-mouthed rabbit, lecherous and devious, and every rotten scheme is his idea!

His fourth disciple is a green turtle.

This pig, this monkey, this rabbit, and this green turtle really do fight their way all the way to the West!

In the end, no one dares take on the job of putting together the Eighty-One Tribulations.

Anyone who does will die!

The Buddha is so furious he spits blood, yet has no one he can send!

The whole Three Realms become a laughingstock.
