Great Tang: Old Li, I Really Didn't Know She Was Your Daughter

After transmigrating, Fang Yiai, the second son of Fang Xuanling, met Princess Gaoyang, who was traveling under the assumed name A Xiu. The two fell in love at first sight. Just a few days later, Li Shimin issued an imperial decree ordering Princess Gaoyang to marry Fang Yiai.

Fang Yiai immediately lost it. Gaoyang? The monk Bianji? The Tang Dynasty's cuckold king?

No way. I'm eloping with A Xiu!

“A Xiu, that old geezer Li Shimin insists I marry his ugly daughter. We have to elope!”

“Ah, elope? Then I have to take you to meet my father first...”

So Fang Yiai met A Xiu's father in a small courtyard. To his surprise, the two hit it off.

“Jun'er, what do you think of our Great Tang Empire?”

“The Tang Dynasty? Glorious Great Tang, the flourishing Zhenguan era, honest officials and hardworking commoners. Like the rising sun, it shines upon the land!”

“Good! Well said! And what do you think of our current emperor?”

“Li Shimin? He's a wise ruler, an emperor for the ages, but he does do some pretty unreasonable things. A Xiu and I are clearly in love, and he...”

“Hey! Hey, Uncle, things were going so well! Why are you hitting me? If you've got something to say, just say it. Don't hit me!”
