Great Tang: I Helped Princess Gaoyang Escape Her Wedding from the Start!

After transmigrating as Fang Xuanling's second son, Fang Yiai, he meets a village girl named A Xiu while out for a stroll, and the two fall in love at first sight. But just a few days later, Li Shimin issues an imperial edict, arranging for him to marry Princess Gaoyang.

Fang Yiai immediately explodes. Gaoyang? The monk Bianji? The Tang Dynasty's most famously cuckolded man?

No way. I'm eloping with A Xiu!

"A Xiu, that old Li Shimin insists I marry his ugly daughter. This won't do. Let's elope!"

"Huh, elope? Then I need to take you to meet my father first..."

So Fang Yiai meets A Xiu's father in a little courtyard, and the two hit it off.

"Jun'er, what do you think of my Tang Empire?"

"The Tang? Glorious Tang, the flourishing age of Zhenguan, honest officials, hardworking people. Like the rising sun, its light shines across the land!"

"Well said! Very well said! And what do you think of our current emperor?"

"Li Shimin? He's a wise ruler, an emperor for the ages. He just does some pretty unreasonable things. A Xiu and I are clearly in love, and he..."

"Hey! Hey, Uncle, things were going so well. Why are you hitting me? Let's talk it out. Don't get physical!"
