Xia Jiu was lounging comfortably on his bed, stretching with a contented yawn.

Xu Gui said, "Brother Jiu, Heaven's hired several more pretty maids. Want to go take a look?"

"Xia Jiu, how many times have I called you? Are you pretending you can't hear me?"

Xia Jiu casually shifted into a different position.

"I heard you. I just couldn't be bothered to answer."

Ji Liang said, speechless, "I thought you'd attained the Dao."

"Want me to beat you to death? Why are you cursing me? If you're so capable, go attain the Dao yourself. That'll keep you from starving!"
