I'm a Virtual Idol, and I'm Just Too Patriotic

After leaving a boy band from Korea, Chen Tao is saddled with a massive termination fee.

He is also banned from working in China for a year.

Using computer synthesis and his own voice recordings, Chen Tao becomes a virtual idol named Taozi.

As Taozi, he sings countless patriotic songs, including "Compendium of Materia Medica" and "Nunchucks," sweeping the streets and alleys and moving countless netizens.

"Some celebrity has the nerve to show off his US green card. Compared to Taozi, the difference is clear."

"That really wakes you up. Foreign trash, get out of China!"

"So patriotic songs can be this polished."

"I'm in tears. Even a virtual idol is more patriotic than I am!"

The year is up. It's time to take off the mask and meet everyone under a new identity.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Chen Tao."
