Classics of China: I Create a Show Where I Converse with History

After transmigrating, Jiang Chen becomes the mainstay of the CCTV channel. Meanwhile, his superiors decide to have the team create a program featuring conversations with historical figures!

At that moment, the System activates!

It allows Jiang Chen to travel between past and present and speak with historical figures!

Facing Qin Shi Huang, Su Chen says, "You built the Great Wall, leaving the people of the Six States displaced and bitter. You burned books and buried scholars alive, leaving history incomplete. One battle wiped out a third of the population of our vast Great Xia! You were a truly tyrannical ruler!"

Then the First Emperor sees with his own eyes the eight-hundred-li frontier of the Qin Empire, littered with a million corpses!

"That was the fault of war, not mine!"

As the First Emperor reels in shock, Jiang Chen continues, "And yet, your crimes belong to your own time, while your achievements will last for a thousand generations! The Qin Great Wall stretches for eight hundred li, and to this day it still protects the people of Huaxia. The unification of the realm began with the King of Qin!"

Tears in his eyes, the First Emperor throws back his head and laughs. "Good! Good! Good! If Huaxia is as you say, then what does it matter if I was a tyrant?"

Facing Zhao Kuangyin, Su Chen says, "You favored civil officials over military men and promoted Confucian learning, but your generals grew weak, leaving border threats unchecked. In the end, the mighty Song was brought down by scholars and their words!"
