Star Insect Invasion

A strange meteorite from the depths of space is heading toward Earth. Scientists calculate that unless measures are taken, it will strike the planet and bring humanity a disaster no less devastating than the extinction of the dinosaurs. Through the united efforts of nations around the world, the meteorite is blown apart. Most of the fragments are knocked off course and pass Earth without incident. A small portion, however, enters the atmosphere. One of the larger fragments crashes into a valley, causing a Tunguska-scale explosion in the modern era. Everyone in the world believes the meteorite disaster ends there. But they do not know that an even greater catastrophe is quietly awaiting them.
