Cultivation Begins with the City Lord

The founding emperor left behind a rule: princes were not allowed to leave the capital.

The emperor's most beloved prince was afflicted with an illness. Without the help of an immortal, he would not live past twenty.

The emperor did not want to lose his son, so he gave him a city.

And so the story begins.

The city lord could not cultivate, but immortals existed in this world.

Here, an immortal could split rivers stretching thousands of miles with a single finger.

Here, an immortal's smile could make all the mortal world's troubles disappear.

The moment a city lord stood with his zither, atop the world.

A lilting melody.
