Soul's Lament

Ten thousand years ago, the Human Emperor fought heaven, earth, gods, and Buddhas. That battle shook the skies and darkened the earth, shattering mountains and rivers and placing unprecedented pressure on all the races. It was a calamity for them all. The leaders of the various races formed an alliance and joined forces to attack humanity, seeking to kill the Human Emperor before humanity could become the supreme race.

After his battle against heaven, earth, and the gods and Buddhas in the skies, the Human Emperor was gravely wounded. When the allied races surrounded him, he could have hidden away and recovered, but he refused to abandon humanity. In his life, he had fought heaven, earth, gods, and Buddhas for humanity. Now, he once again fought for humanity without hesitation. Even with his body severely injured, the Human Emperor displayed peerless might, scattering the strongest warriors of every race. In the end, the alliance withdrew, and the exhausted Human Emperor fell. It was a tragedy for all humanity.

A thousand years later, the protagonist Ling Luo rises from a remote mountain village. Together with Yin Yan, he struggles onward, eventually uncovering the mystery of his origins and becoming the Human Emperor, fighting for his people.
