Journey to the West: The Rise of Taoism, Inheriting the Heavenly Master's Ordination from the Start

Zhang Heng transmigrates into the Journey to the West and becomes the twelfth-generation Celestial Master of Longhu Mountain.

But Buddhism flourishes while Daoism declines.

The Buddhist sect squeezes out Daoism, forcing its followers into seclusion. After the Human Emperor is deified, he is demoted to a mere Son of Heaven!

The current ruler of humanity is also cruelly manipulated, promoting Buddhism and becoming a pawn!

At the ceremony appointing him Celestial Master, Zhang Heng inherits the Celestial Master's teachings and awakens the Strongest Daoist System!

"I will turn back the tide and save this crumbling world!"

"Daoism shall rise! Everyone in the Tang Empire will stand like dragons. How can we be left to the mercy of others?"

Thus begins Zhang Heng's journey to revive Daoism.

He spreads the Dao throughout the Tang Empire, advances its teachings, and cuts off Buddhism's path eastward.

Li Shimin: "As of today, I, the Tang Emperor, expel Buddhism from the empire! Only Daoism shall be revered!"

Taishang Laojun: "A Daoist Celestial Master! A sage has been born!"

Jieyin: "You wretch! My Buddhist cause... you've ruined it completely!"
