About This Novel

Song Jiang, the superintendent of Yuncheng County, Shandong Province, was famous for his righteousness and wealth. He was on good terms with Chao Gai, the Baozheng of Dongcun, the same county. Song's wife, Meng, rented the Song family's ancestral house to Yan Po and her daughter through the intermediary of Li Si. Unexpectedly, Li Si deceived both the landlord and the tenant, and fled with the money. In order to protect his wife, Song Jiang lied to his father, Song Taigong, that he was the one who made the decision to rent the ancestral house and had nothing to do with the Meng family. Song Taigong was angry and severed the father-son relationship with her. Song Jiang went to take back the house, but couldn't bear to drive away Yan Po and her daughter; Yan Po was willing to give her life to repay her kindness; Song Taigong originally intended to reconcile, but when he came to the ancestral house, he ran into Song Jiang and a strange woman. He was immediately disappointed with his son and fell seriously ill when he returned home. Song Taigong did not allow Song Jiang to go home. At the same time, Meng also misunderstood that Song Jiang had found a new love. Under the double misunderstanding, he was cheated by Li Si out of money and his house was occupied by Yan Po. She urgently needed money to treat her father-in-law, so she borrowed money from Zhang San, the bailiff, and inadvertently committed the crime of forging a seal. Because of the affair between Yan Poxi and Zhang San, Zhang San deliberately took a preemptive strike and threatened Meng with the written evidence. When Song Jiang learned about it, he became furious and scolded Meng for being shameless, causing Meng to run away angrily. At the same time, Chao Gai and others robbed Liang Zhongshu's birthday gift package on Huangnigang and gave it to Grand Master Cai Jing. After the incident, they were hunted by the government. Song Jiang got the news and rushed to inform Chao Gai. After Chao Gai escaped from danger, he sent gold to Song Jiang to express his gratitude. The matter was investigated by Yan Poxi, who used this to blackmail Song Jiang into allowing her to remarry Zhang San. In desperation, Song Jiang fled, but was caught by Magistrate Cai Jiu and ordered to be punished. Chao Gai and others went down the mountain to rescue him, and found Song's wife, Meng, and took them to the mountain village together, so that Song Jiang and his wife could be reunited.

This can be regarded as my inheritance of classics!

When I was writing "Water Margin Netflix", I took the trouble to introduce porcelain and shipping in the Song Dynasty, combined with the archaeological discovery of "Nanhai No. 1" In recent years; I also wrote about whether Aunt Gu used oyster sauce in her cooking. I also went to the National Knowledge Infrastructure to search for relevant historical evidence. I did this just to make the story look more "flavorful". When I wrote about Hua Rong eating cooking cakes, I introduced in detail the making of cooking cakes in the Song Dynasty. When I wrote about Song Jiang growing roses, I introduced the effect of rose tea in regulating menstrual blood. The main purpose was to express Song Jiang's love for his first wife, Mengshi. In fact, when I wrote the section about planting roses, I paid tribute to Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables."

Liu Anfei

I guess that Liu Wanyi promised Song Jiang to the princess Zhao Fujin who was not her own. Because Song Jiang once said "I am the son-in-law of the Jade Emperor" when he was pretending to be crazy in Jiangzhou. The Jade Emperor refers to Song Huizong Zhao Ji. Based on the ages of the princesses, I guessed that the betrothed person was Zhao Fujin. Because Zhao Fujin was about seven years old at this time and could be engaged; and Liu Wanyi's own daughter was still a baby, and Song Jiang would not believe it. Why is it said to be Zhao Fujin, the third princess of Queen Mingda? Because in Song Jiang's dream, there were three date stones and three volumes of heavenly books. The Mingda Queen Liu was the third queen of Song Huizong; the third was Zhao Fujin.
