I haven't updated my book list in 8 years, but this guy is even more ruthless. He published a new book after 17 years. It has the flavor of interstellar travel. Don't be fooled by the monthly ticket. This book is worth reading.
Very smooth soft science fiction. But strictly speaking, it's not science fiction. It's a story about humans in the future interstellar era facing a crisis caused by a substance that can evolve humans. At the beginning of the story, the protagonist, as the captain, leads an elite team of all human beings to destroy the villains. Only he survives. The following story has two main lines. The first one is that the blue substance that was thought to be destroyed appears again. The second main line is that the teammates seem not to be dead but have mutated like the protagonist.
