About This Novel
In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, the three kingdoms of Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla were at war. Among the three kingdoms, Goguryeo had the strongest national power and was capricious about the central dynasty of the Tang Dynasty. Jiumu's three brothers all died in the war. After a bumpy journey to Baekje, Jiumu joined Liu Rengui's team. Liu Rengui, a civilian official, was like a divine help, providing disaster relief, reassuring the people, and recruiting troops. In just six months, he defeated Baekje's puppet king Buyu Feng and fled. Jiumu, his military friend Lu Jingyu, and his follower Lu Chuan established a secret organization of Jiumu swordsmen in the Iron Triangle. Some officials in the imperial court colluded with the Japanese country, intending to rebel and sell the national treasure, the jade dragon sculpture. The Jiumu swordsmen began to act secretly. In the third year of Longshuo in the Tang Dynasty, on the evening of August 28th, the two-day naval battle at Baijiangkou officially ended, ending with the complete victory of the Tang Dynasty and the complete defeat of the Japanese state.
