The ordinary world does not mean the ordinary you want to write about
I'd like to give you some advice. It's best to push the main storyline of Dragon Clan quickly. The current plot is a bit like a sex-changing female channel (or a Mary Sue type, with several young men surrounding a common girl).
The only shortcoming is that the main line is pushed too slowly, and there is nothing else.
Why use so many rhetorical devices? It seems that you are very cultured. Every one has it. So many figures of speech. Annoying to hear.
