as beautiful as a dream
I happened to read Mr. Mo Yan's works again recently, and I happened to have some feelings about this book, which also gave me a deeper understanding of it. "Going Away at the Age of Eighteen" uses multiple possibilities to disintegrate the meaning of the story itself, allowing people to feel the dream-like beauty of a unity composed of paradoxical logical relationships and clear and accurate actions. There is no need to pursue logic in dreams. Whatever happens, it happens. This is also the charm of dreams. "The superficiality of human beings comes from the limitations of experience and alienation from spiritual essence. Only by breaking away from common sense and abandoning the order and logic provided by the current world can we freely approach reality."

This book is very short, so short that I thought I could finish it quickly. However, some chapters are obscure and difficult to understand, and I need to find another explanation to barely understand the secrets. Sometimes I don't want to read for comprehension like I am learning Chinese, but if I don't understand, it will be difficult to read a certain chapter. Therefore, there are several chapters, such as past events and criminal law, ancestors, and dedication to the girl Yangliu. I read these two or three times, but I seemed to understand them.
The truth of literature is to some extent the truth felt by the writer.
Ideal, confusion, disillusionment, growth
After reading it, I feel that the introduction is very well written, and it is indeed the case. From each story, you can see the 18-year-old boy running rampant and groping forward. Today is the last day of my 20th year, and I can empathize with you in many ways 👍
