This book is a different look at the Tang Dynasty from the perspective of Li Ke, the concubine of Li Tang and Li Shimin. The descriptions of well-known Tang figures such as Li Shimin, Empress Changsun, Wei Zheng, Li You, and Cheng Yaojin in this book may be different from those of other predecessors, or even have undergone earth-shaking changes. Please do not abandon the book because of these. The same person will be evaluated differently in the eyes of different people. Take Empress Changsun as an example. To the noble court officials and their descendants, Empress Changsun was a virtuous queen and a model of women in the early Tang Dynasty. To aristocratic families and clans, Empress Changsun was a female fox, cunning, fake compassion, and superficial. To Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji's princesses and children, this aunt and aunt were cruel. A hot and poisonous woman; to the palace maids and eunuchs, Queen Changsun was a majestic, unsmiling, and unapproachable figure; to the concubines Li You and Li Ke, Queen Changsun was a mother who only favored her legitimate children, always suppressing and balancing her stepmother; and to Li Chengqian and Li Tai, Queen Changsun was a mother who loved him.
