It's so confusing and bullshit from the beginning to the end. The one who deserves the most damn is the male protagonist.
I'd say there's no curse at all. It's the male protagonist's own fault. He commits suicide and goes to dangerous places to be with the people who care about him. How can he avoid suffering? ??, Don't be so curious that his grandfather is still alive, and even the mute dad who came back to life was tricked to death for the sake of the truth. You can't hold back if you should insist or not. Doufu and Bai Shuang obviously really want to insist on not taking them with you, and others can force you to take them with them? Everyone around you is dead and you don't find their own reasons. Just blame it on the curse. Is there really a curse? Shouldn't the first person to die be yourself?
