I read five of them, but to be honest I didn't understand them.
The article contains too much classical Chinese. We are here to read novels, not historical records. There was nothing about the opening chapter that attracted me. Instead, it felt like it was confusing. To put it bluntly, the writing was not straightforward enough. Personal experience, don't be upset if you don't like it.

No matter which dynasty, the emperor knew how to address his ministers by their names. The name is what the parents and the emperor call them. The emperor may call you Aiqing.
