The writing is quite good, but Wang Chunxiao's character is not that lovable.
I have read similar books, focusing on cultivating immortals, but I didn't spend much time describing the female characters who took concubines. Most of the descriptions were about the benefits gained after taking concubines to enhance their strength. The description of the female characters in this book is quite detailed, but the ugly heroine...
