Musicians of Old
by Timid Orange
About This Novel
Soot filled the sky and steam roared endlessly. The world is functioning as usual and prosperity is within reach. But everyone is ignorant. Only a handful of them have gone through the mists of history, studied taboo knowledge, dismantled hidden inspirations, and mobilized invisible power. They are called "the wise." The chaos and reality beneath the filthy surface of the world, starting from a mysterious incident at a concert, are gradually revealed: "Lord of Hidden Knowledge, Shifting, Aspect, Ritual Vessel, and Witness" - this is the extraordinary path of the "Knowing One"; "Inspiration, composition, piano, conducting, symphonic movements" - this is the sacred career of an "artist". Two roads, leading to the same destination. Wherever vision goes, destiny chooses. "The world is full of shortcomings, but eventually someone will see the glory." --Contemporary composer, pianist, conductor Carolyn Van Ning

I feel that many of the plots are too redundant. The protagonist keeps investigating, which is not necessary at all. It can be easily solved at a high transcendent level. Investigating at a low level still puts yourself in danger and makes trouble for nothing.
Do you know why it looks good but not hot? Brother, you write novels, not music scores. If you copy a few songs, we will tolerate the masterpieces of the earth. At least we can find the original works and listen to them. As a result, you created your own symphony. Even if it is described in words, how many of us who read online articles do you think can understand it? The thing is good, but the thing is just incomprehensible, which is very helpless.
Not bad
I can barely watch it, but the plot is cliche and the characterization is too retarded. Laobai and novices can read it, but old bookworms can forget it. It is full of poisonous points if you bring it to your brain, and it is a bit difficult to understand if you don't have it. Overall, it is an above-average work. One star for the description of the environment, one star for the description of the character's appearance, and one star for the idea.
Average
Just average, boring, the golden finger is not powerful, it is dispensable!
It's okay, but non-art major readers may find it a bit unclear.
Readers of the Ke series should proceed with caution (read the remarks on Volume 2)
It's okay in the beginning, but not so good after the end of the first volume. Why? Just like the title of the book "Musicians of the Old Days", there are too many musical plots. It feels like a novel about a great writer or God of Cooking, where the musicians are the main plot and the Grammar is a side branch.
Music Flow Cthulhu
The music knowledge is rich and profound, and the author's writing is smooth and logical. It is an excellent novel that no one cares about. It is currently in the stage of changing the map to enrich the all-round character of the protagonist. Looking forward to the follow-up
Worth recommending
I have actually read this book twice. The first time I was reading Lord of Mysteries, which happened to be recommended to me when it came to related recommendations, because I usually prefer professional articles. The protagonist has a special ability, and there will be a lot of useful information in the article. This will give me some things to brag about among my friends. The first time I read this book, I read it from the perspective of Mystery, Cthulhu, and music professional writing. After reading about thirty or forty chapters, I couldn't stand it anymore. I have completely forgotten the specific reasons for abandoning the book at that time. The general reason should be that I was interested in pure piano music. In terms of music, I actually have a blind eye. Every time the protagonist plays some famous music score, what comes into my mind is the flight of bumblebees, because this is the most out-of-the-box and most straightforward example of the player's ability. Over time, I can't find any sense of immersion, so I may stop watching it. Until some time ago, I played a very addictive game called Esoteric Cult Simulator. When I was looking for guides on the Internet, I came across someone who said that this book is very similar to the world view of Esoteric Cult. So I searched for this book yesterday and added it back to the bookshelf. This time, I read this book from the perspective of the Esoteric Cult game. Suddenly I found that the details of the chapters that I skipped at a glance are actually very well written. So after reading more than a dozen chapters, I came to write a review directly. I will give a five-star recommendation first. Finally, let me say something here. The game Secret Cult gives me the same feeling as Disco Elysium. It is the type where when you first start playing it, your eyes are blinded and you don't know anything. But the more you play, the more interesting it becomes, and the deeper you go, the more exciting it becomes. Therefore, I will give this novel a higher tolerance and expectation.
It's good to read, but I'm a little tired from reading it.
Maybe it's the slow-heating type, I haven't read that it feels better. It's worth reading, but as a reader, I read too much at once, and I can't stand it anymore. There are a lot of settings and self-created history in it, which should be what I want to express, but I couldn't read the relevant plot at all. I just flipped through it quickly, and occasionally stopped, and I felt irritated while watching it... The setting is quite novel and comprehensive.

Music and mystery go hand in hand, but the author's skill in writing the music line is far better than the mystery line... ★The writing is very good, the description of the music is very attractive, and it can be seen that the author has solid knowledge in this area. Moreover, the character of the protagonist is not an ordinary literary copy, but a real composer, the kind who really has his own works (the male protagonist has a prototype), a rare but likeable entertainment-related protagonist. ★The author's background period is well chosen, which is very suitable for the theme of classical music. This time point is a period of vigorous development of art. ☆Although the author's writing style is quite good, it is obvious that the author lacks experience in web writing, the rhythm of the mystery line is wrong, the excitement is not enough, and the villain's setting is also disgusting. It is a very common setting that the official organization of the strongest country is the biggest villain, but in the context of this book, "the abnormal zone has been spreading and will destroy the world sooner or later. Only the development of art (the emergence of artists with high enough qualifications and the birth of excellent works of art) can slow down this process and buy more time." It is not very reasonable. ☆Updates are a bit slow now, but I always wait until a volume is finished before reading it, so it doesn't have much impact... The current progress is on the third volume, and I am very hesitant to continue reading it. It is quite important to me whether the symphony title of the male protagonist Fan Ning is his own name...

Recommendation index: 4 stars Category: Seedling Support Cthulhu text is set in the classic steampunk era of this genre. This book does a good job in the core elements of Cthulhu such as thriller, suspense and history. It can be called a relatively authentic Cthulhu text. Regarding the music literature, which is a major feature of this book, there are some differences between praise and criticism. My knowledge in music is shallow and I can't judge what is right and what is wrong. However, I feel that a work with its own content is better than everyone else's copycat. At least this also reflects that the author has put more effort into it. Tentatively scheduled for January

Feeling like a tadpole looking for its daddy? Begin by killing the teacher, and then take care of the teacher's "young" daughter as a matter of course, and advance to the extraordinary level. Old wine in a new bottle is not bad, but the rhythm is a bit... There are two routes for this type of writing, one is sympathetic, and the other is refreshing. Liangcao, people who like this kind of medicine will probably like it.
