About This Novel
The protagonist of the novel, Yan Feng, has known female classmates Xiaoxiao and Sisi since middle school, as well as Sisi's brother. Yan Feng later became a teacher and married a Xinjiang girl Gu Lina. Sisi suffered from ankylosing spondylitis and became a self-taught village doctor. Xiaoxiao became a painter. Her husband is the son of a media company boss. Sisi's brother gave up his studies to take care of his sister, but he was lucky enough to marry a good wife who supported him in taking care of her sister. The novel describes the stories of the four main characters mentioned above, with the time span from the 1990s to the present, and the locations are mainly in Shaanxi Province.
