A Happy Guest in Troubled Times

This is my first completed novel. Although there are still many problems in writing skills, it is indeed a comprehensive test and improvement for me personally. The first draft of the novel began in January 2011 and was completed in August 2019. During this period, it was repeatedly revised, added and deleted, and incorporated rich personal growth experience and workplace insights. It can be described as a painstaking work. In February, September 2020 and April 2023, it was revised three times and finally finalized. This is a personalized and liberal work, as well as a work that attacks reality and expresses ideals. Although I failed to sign the contract, I am still satisfied with the whole work because she is what I like and is not created to cater to the market. Life is not easy and time is precious. I estimate that I will not have time to create another "willful" work before I retire. In an era where everything pays attention to costs and benefits, if writing cannot be realized, it is also a waste and failure. Therefore, this work is not only a farewell to the "writer's dream" in his boyhood, but also a practice for the future "writer's dream to be rich". My next work will be completely market-oriented. I will pursue a work with a fast pace, intense conflicts, constant suspense, and lots of excitement. I will try my best to continue to attract readers' attention instead of expressing my likes and dislikes too much. Finally, I have two words of writing to encourage all colleagues: only by persistence can you succeed, and only by constantly denying yourself can you make progress.
