Personally, I feel that some skills in the game will contain multiple effects such as damage, shield, or displacement at the same time, just because of the gameplay and to facilitate control. If in the world view of lol's background story, the skills are the same as those in the game (such as the crab E-carrying people, stepping on Jinx's clip and not moving), it would look a bit awkward.
