About This Novel

The protagonist of this book is Qi Jiguang (1528-January 15, 1588), whose aliases are Yuanjing, Wenming and Ruqian, also known as Nantang and Mengzhu in his later years. He was born in Penglai, Shandong Province, and his ancestral home is Dongping (it is also said that his ancestral home is Dingyuan, Anhui). An outstanding military strategist, calligrapher, and poet of the Ming Dynasty, a famous anti-Japanese general, and a national hero. There are still military books "Ji Xiao Xinshu" and "Records of Military Training", as well as a collection of poems and essays "Zhi Zhitang Collection" left to the world. The story tells the life of Qi Jiguang and intersperses the timeline of the entire Ming Dynasty.
