Law of the People's Republic of China on the Territorial Sea and Contiguous Zone

This law is enacted to exercise the sovereignty of the People's Republic of China over the territorial sea and the right to control the contiguous zone, and to safeguard national security and maritime rights and interests. Adopted at the 24th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress on February 25, 1992, and promulgated and implemented by Order No. 55 Of the President of the People's Republic of China on February 25, 1992.
