About This Novel

There are many stories about "King Wu defeating Zhou" in history, and there are also many novels represented by "The Romance of the Gods", but most of them are based on myths and folklore. The novel "Jian Shang" is a historical novel based on historical records and modern archaeological research. If I could sum up this book in one sentence, it would be a "Three Kingdoms" version of the Romance of the Gods. According to the conclusion of the "Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasty Project", Shang King Shou (posthumous name Zhou, named after Emperor Xin) reigned for a total of thirty years. This book starts from the year Shang Shou ascended the throne and ends with the Battle of Muye. It tells the story of the ups and downs of the protagonist Zhou Kao (historically known as Boyikao). Zhou Kao's journey was not limited to the Shang Kingdom centered on Yincheng and Chaoge, but also traveled to various vassal states in the Central Plains, and even went as far as countries or clans and tribes established by foreign tribes such as Dongyi, Xirong, Nanman, and Beidi.
