In the late Qing Dynasty and the end of Kangxi's reign, many prisoners who committed treason crimes were exiled to the bitter cold Ningguta area in Heilongjiang, northeastern China. As a child secretly born to exiled prisoners, Chen Yuan has been a gangster since he was a child. Fortunately, Chen Menglei, a scholar from the Qing Dynasty who was also exiled here, adopted him, so he was able to survive in this desolate mountainous area. By chance, when Chen Yuan was out hunting, he got a Xuantian mirror that could show future wisdom. Since he got this mirror, Chen Yuan's life has completely changed. He cured his grandfather's old illness through the treasure mirror, and then saved many suffering people in Jiamusi. From then on, Chen Yuan completely fell in love with medicine, and he began to explore the way to study medicine like crazy. In the following years, he outsmarted the thieves, traveled south to Fengtian, set foot in the capital, treated sick people, and rescued the suffering, and eventually became a famous doctor. Later, he worked with the governor of Henan to develop agriculture, worked with the governor of Liangjiang to reform the economy, and worked with the Thirteenth Master Yunxiang to conquer the north and south, thus making great achievements and eventually becoming the first legendary imperial doctor with a first-rank official position in Chinese history.
