About This Novel

The book "Sirian Wolf Maodun" begins with the myth and legend of the wolf and the Huns. The 3-year-old Maodun was abandoned in the barren mountains due to a palace struggle. His uncle placed the wolf dog raised by his mother Yan's Rock Dragon in the cave. The foster dog took on the responsibility of guarding Mao Dun and later became the wolf king, protecting Mao Dun for three years. Mo Dun transformed from a "wolf" into a human being, and gained enlightenment of his wolf nature during the military struggle. Maodun was the founder of the Xiongnu Empire and the eldest son of the Xiongnu Chanyu Touman. Because of his father's love for his half-brother's younger son, he ordered him to be enslaved to the Yuezhi. As soon as Mao Dun arrived at the Yuezhi, Touman was instigated by the Dalan clan and turned against him and sent troops to attack the Yuezhi, with the intention of asking the Yuezhi people to kill Mao Dun. Maodun stole a horse and fled back. Touman had no choice but to make the eldest son who fled back became the commander of ten thousand cavalry. Later, in order to protect himself, Mao Dun killed Tou Man with the "Zhi Ming Dy" and established himself as the Great Chanyu. From then on, he began his glorious career of conquering all directions and fighting with iron horses. Mao Dun died in the sixth year of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty (174 BC), and his son Ji Zhou succeeded him. Jizhu also achieved success in hardships. As the heir to the Xiongnu Empire, he conquered the Yuezhi and pacified the twenty-six countries in the Western Regions. His achievements were second only to his father's.
