About This Novel
This book focuses on the decline of the Ryukyu Kingdom between the Qing Dynasty and Japan from the time when Zheng Kezang was killed in 1681 to the Satsuma Domain taking control of Ryukyu in 1725. From the perspective of Ryukyu, there was an ambition to restore the glory of the Ming Dynasty, but unfortunately the country was weak and the people were poor. A series of events led to Ryukyu being eventually controlled by the Satsuma clan.
