The reputation of the Tang Dynasty spread far overseas, and it had contacts with countries in South Asia, West Asia and Europe. After the Tang Dynasty, Chinese people were often referred to as "Tang people" overseas. Tang poetry, science and technology, culture and art were extremely prosperous and diversified.
