My Brother Should Be Yao and Shun
About This Novel
Later historians always like to argue about when Emperor Shizuwen Yu Wenping really had the idea of taking power in his life. Was it when the elder brother held his hand and walked into the Zhuque Gate of Chang'an after the war in Shayuan, and all the people cheered "Long live the Prime Minister" but the elder brother only pointed at him and said, "This is my family's thousand-mile horse"? Was it when that skinny hand pressed the seal of the military talisman and the last words on the silk script into his palm in front of the sickbed in Luoyang? Or was it in the Taiji Hall where he burned all his efforts in public to persuade him to enter the palace, only to turn around and see hundreds of officials kneeling down, amidst the roar of "Your Majesty" like a mountain roaring and a tsunami roaring? No one knows. Only on the last page of "Guoguo Shu Yao" orally dictated by Shizu in his later years, there is a line of Zhu Pi's small words: "In the third year of Datong's reign, I was rescuing victims in Chang'an. Suddenly I heard the sound of horse hooves behind me - I turned around and saw my brother's sword flying. My brother raised his whip and pointed eastward and said, 'Gao Huan's army has returned. Brother, follow me to kill people, or are you here to save people?'" "I answer: 'Kill to save others.'" "Brother laughed: 'Shan! Come with me -'" The historian noted this sentence: This is the beginning of "My brothers shall be Yao and Shun". The real story begins earlier that evening.
