But I think this is still a respectable and excellent work. Without it, the work always maintains a sense of awe for history, which is particularly obvious in the second half of the work. The plot is divergent without deviating from history. The main characters and events are interpreted according to the mainstream of history, but the details and blanks are filled in with the role of the protagonist. In this way, the originally pale history becomes a vivid legend on paper. When ordinary people read history, they often have an insurmountable sense of generation gap and pallor. Historical novels just make up for this. Unfortunately, too many historical novels from ancient times to the present are either excessively romantic, have confusing logic, or have monotonous characters, and they even try to be cool and exciting. The story of "The Last Drunk Pillow", no matter how aura the protagonist is, no matter how innocent the obscenity is, it never makes people feel disrespectful to history. On the contrary, the changing situation of history and the helplessness and cruelty of politics are vividly displayed with the experience of the protagonist. In the second half of the work, the historical nature is sacrificed at the expense of the novelistic nature. The readers are not satisfied, and the author himself is also dissatisfied. In fact, this is also a dilemma for an author who is in awe of history. The historical framework is here. Should I painstakingly search for reasonable explanations and make reasonable use of it within this framework, or should I break this framework? I still prefer the former. Furthermore, for a work of millions of words, it is particularly valuable to maintain the integrity of the work. Before the last chapter, I even thought that the author had forgotten or couldn't solve this pitfall, but in the end I discovered the author's painstaking efforts. It turns out that the big explosion at the end has been foreshadowed in a series of hints of previous plots, but it just passed without a trace. What's even more valuable is that historical figures finally meet their fate, and the original plot and historical facts are integrated into one seamless whole.
