About This Novel
Fuxi was the human emperor appointed by the Emperor of Heaven. He married Nuwa through the help of Yue Lao. He and Nuwa made nine sons out of river soil and gave them surnames. They taught the people martial arts, invented fire and pottery, built fish nets, cooked food and distributed them everywhere. Chonglou wanted to practice unparalleled magical skills, so he provoked the God of Water and the God of Fire, causing the two gods to fight in Mount Buzhou. The God of Water was defeated and broke Mount Buzhou to his death; causing the sky in the west to crack and heavy rains to cause disasters in the world. Nuwa dedicated her life to mending the sky in order to protect the people of the world; Fuxi traveled around the world to create Bagua for this purpose. Soon after, Chonglou achieved great success, captured the Heavenly Court, usurped the throne and claimed to be the Emperor of Heaven; Fuxi rushed to the Heavenly Court to quell the chaos and save the immortals. ...
