About This Novel
《酉阳杂俎》，唐段成式撰，曹中孚校点。前集二十卷，续集十卷，在唐人笔记中是一部别具特色的重要作品。此书分门别类辑事，鲁迅先生称其记录秘书、叙述异事，仙佛人鬼，乃至动植物，无所不包，以类分别，犹如类书。千百年来，此书为世人所重，资料颇具研究价值。美国东方学者劳费尔和英国李约瑟博士分别在他们的科技著作《中国伊朗编·阿月浑子》和《中国科学技术史》中征引了本书。本书有《四部丛刊》本、《学津讨原》本、《津逮秘书》本、《稗海》本等等，诸种版本中，以《四部丛刊》本为最早，影印明万历三十五年李云鹄本，而《学津讨原》本最为完备。今以《学津讨原》本为底本标校，参校他本。

Found it, the public version is free. A collection of ancient Chinese customs and legends. Written by Duan Chengshi (about 803-863) of the Tang Dynasty. Twenty volumes, followed by ten volumes. One thousand, two hundred and eighty-eight articles in total. Chengshi's courtesy name was Kegu, his ancestral home was Zouping (now Shandong), and later moved to Jingzhou (now Jiangling, Hubei).
Novels of the Tang Dynasty cataloged immortals, Buddhas, ghosts, animals, plants, wine, food, temples, etc., Recorded rare treasures from various places, described the customs and habits of Chang'an, and preserved many precious historical materials.
