About This Novel

Main plot: Li Mu, a college student in the Department of Modern History, accidentally traveled to the Ming Dynasty in 1629 while studying the "Ji Si Change" and became a down-and-out scholar in the capital. Faced with the desperate situation where the army is approaching and the government and the public are in panic, he has no golden finger. His only reliance is on knowledge and vision that are far ahead of the times. In order to survive and reverse China's declining destiny, Li Mu took a risk and "self-declared" his identity as a time traveler to Emperor Chongzhen at a critical moment. He gained Chongzhen's trust with accurate predictions and strategies that transcended the times. With Tianjin as the base, he founded a military factory and used modern knowledge to improve gunpowder and cast cannons; he established a new army and implemented three-stage attack tactics and contract operations; he established an ocean-going fleet, broke the sea ban, opened the Ming Dynasty's great navigation era, and competed with the Western Barbarians for maritime hegemony. Internally, he dealt with the eunuchs, the Donglin Party and the imperial power, attacking traitorous forces such as Shanxi merchants and pacifying the bandits; externally, he used thunderous means to fight against the Hou Jin Dynasty, changing the tragedy of Yuan Chonghuan, and finally pulled the Ming Dynasty back from the edge of overthrow and built it into an empire where industry, commerce, military, and maritime power coexisted. The cool part is how the protagonist uses pure knowledge and strategy, without systems or powers, to leverage and subvert the entire era step by step, revitalizing a mortal dynasty.
