Datang: the Soul of Anxi
About This Novel
The glorious Tang Dynasty brings back dreams. Anxi's fierce soldiers protect our country's borders. During the Tianbao period, the old and dim Xuanzong favored treacherous ministers, the eunuchs gradually gained control of power, the imperial court collapsed, and the foundation of the prosperous age collapsed. There were drums and drums in Yuyang, and Anshi rebelled. War broke out in the Central Plains, and the rebels turned towards them. The Tang army was defeated, and both the Tang Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty fell under the iron heel of the rebels. At the critical moment, the traitor still wields power. The famous generals and loyal ministers of the Tang Dynasty who devoted themselves to serving the country and fought against the rebellion were brutally killed by the Tang Dynasty's own sword. The invincible Anxi Army of the Tang Dynasty was ordered to march eastward to quell the rebellion, but disappeared under the calculation of the treacherous eunuchs. The Tang Dynasty is in danger... In the critical situation, Li Yi, the remaining envoy of the Anxi Beiting Protectorate who was guarding the Western Regions, reorganized the Anxi army. With the assistance of Wei Gao, a famous minister of the Tang Dynasty, and his sworn brother Xiao Changfeng, he led the soldiers of Anxi to fight back and fight in the Western Regions again... Fighting in the south and north, conquering in the east and conquering in the west, the heroes shed tears, the strong men suffocated, but Anxi's loyal soul will forever guard the country's borders. ... A few thoughts and a few spoilers...
In fact, the first chapter of the story is a metaphor for the Anxi Army, a lonely army in a lonely city, with an iron-blooded heart, defeating many with less, and becoming invincible. The second chapter of the story is to give a more comprehensive foreshadowing of the plot and concept of the entire story. It may be relatively long, a little boring, and not exciting enough, but there is no way. For the rationality and logic of the entire story, Chapter 2 must be written like this. The exciting and fierce battle began in the third chapter of the story... I am actually writing a whole story, a whole with the Anxi Army as the protagonist, loyal, tragic, and guarding the Western Region of the Tang Dynasty with a spirit of solitary loyalty. If we want to count the real protagonists, there may only be three: Li Yi, Xiao Changfeng, and Wei Gao. Wei Gao was a real and famous official of the Tang Dynasty. He appeared in history more than ten years in advance and saved the Tang Dynasty from decline during the Anshi Rebellion. Li Yi and Xiao Changfeng are actually my ideal twin-walled, invincible gods of war in the Tang Dynasty. In this story, I just want to write some of the dream history that I yearn for, and write about a tragic and loyal Anxi Army. Although it is fictional, it feels real. Thank you all for your support. Criticisms and corrections are welcome. Thanks again!
