Fingers Entwined

Green mountains rise into the clouds, and at dusk I climb to a distant peak. The sun never sets on Tianshan, while a Kunpeng circles at my fingertips. White towers surround the pavilions; five immortals in azure robes and white hair. As the stars wheel overhead, we sit facing one another over a game of chess, through three thousand cycles of prosperity and decline. With green cups of jade wine, we share our joy; a sweep of the sleeve brings the mortal world’s sorrows and reunions. One day, I shall ascend to heaven. Tell me, immortals, where did you find the Dao?
